Bhavans Smart Indian School was proud to join hands in the global commemoration of Islamic New Year on 10th September 2018 in the school premises. The first holiest month in Islamic calendar that serves as the consecrated month of Muharram to all dear Islamic people around the world was honored and observed by all in the school through various activities like powerpoint presentations, speeches on highlighting the importance of the religion’s nativity, card making by furbishing the blank sheets to the brightened up cards and greetings exchanged in the cheerful anticipation of the day. The systematic endeavour was brought out by the Department of Arabic under the methodic guidance of Ms. Shaimaa Zaki.
The day also remembered the divine direction received by Prophet Muhammad to migrate from Mecca to Medina and the terming of the day, Hijra which marks the first day in the Islamic calendar during the morning assembly. The card making activity to implement solidarity in the happiness of all Muslim dominant country’s celebration and to our each Muslim’s joy, had brought out the students’ creative endowment in the form of pictures and colors in an aesthetically appealing manner and the best cards were selected to award prizes. The school thanked its Principal – Mr. Mahesh Iyer for constantly supporting in all the endeavours.
