The 77th Independence Day was celebrated at Smart Indian School on 15th August with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The school campus was beautifully decorated with flags and balloons to commemorate the day.
At 8 a.m. students, parents and teachers gathered in the school premises. After the guard of honour and march past by BSS cadets the National Flag was hoisted by the Principal of the school, Mr. Mahesh Iyer. Janet Joanna George, Head Girl of SIS welcomed the gathering.
The highlights of the day were remarkable in which all the proceedings of the celebration took place. Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Principal, read out the President of India, Droupadi Murmu’s speech. The dynamic dance performance and group song by the
teachers and students enthralled the audience. The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks by Nifansa Arul Dharmaraj after which sweets were distributed.
May the spirit of patriotism shine bright in our hearts as we commemorate the Independence Day of our great nation. Sending everyone warm wishes on this special day as we remember the sacrifices of our heroes who fought for our freedom.
