Bhavans Smart Indian School Kuwait conducted a webinar in connection with World Cancer Day. The world observes February 4th as National Cancer Day. The main objective of this programme was to spread the theme ‘Close the Care Gap/Realising the Problem’.

The school also conducted various programmes as part of Cancer Day based on the theme.

The programme was conducted online. In the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Susovana Sujit Nair (Medical Oncologist, Kuwait Cancer Control Center), the Principal Mr. Mahesh Iyer inaugurated the programme.

While addressing the gathering he insisted on having a healthy life which helps us to grow physically as well as mentally.

Jasim Aboobecker welcomed the chief guest and all the participants to the event. Vice Principal Ms. Albin Daisy and KG Supervisor Ms. Rajini Menon presided over the function.

The seminar fully focused on the causes and symptoms of cancer and also the methods to be followed while taking care of a cancer patient. Dr. Susovana also explained in detail about Pain and Palliative medical care. After the seminar, the students also had an interactive session with the chief guest.

As part of World Cancer Day, Mrs. Saritha Umesh (Head of the Science Dept.) along with Mrs. Bhavitha Bright, Mr. Gautham and Mr. Jogy George coordinated the awareness programmes, discussions, video presentations etc in various classes.
