Time is the coin of life. Only you can determine how it can be spent. To support this saying, Smart Indian School arranged an online session on ‘How to Make the Most of Your Summer Break’. The session was conducted via Zoom on June 21, 2023, at 4 p.m.
The purpose of the session was to encourage children to determine how they could use their summer vacation usefully and become active learners. It also helped the parents to guide their little ones for fruitful holidays.
The keynote speaker for the day was Mr. Suresh V. Balakrishnan, Principal of the Private International English School, (Bhavans-Abudhabi). He began the session by elaborating on how to make the summer vacation most useful and effective by learning various new things according to each one’s interest. He guided the students to understand and work on their hidden potential for a holistic development which is the need for a competency learning for the future. Students and their parents interestingly participated in the session clearing their doubts during the Q&A session.
Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, the honorable chairman of Bhavans Middle East, shared his thoughts on the topic.
Ms. Anselma Tessy, the Senior Vice Principal, Vice Principal Ms. Albin Daisy, Academic Coordinators and teachers were also part of this interesting discussion.
The students clarified their doubts with great satisfaction and understood the techniques of self analysis to refine their skills more effectively during the summer vacation. As a token of appreciation, the Principal, Mr. Mahesh Iyer, presented a virtual certificate of appreciation to the key speaker, Mr. Suresh V. Balakrishnan. The session ended with a vote of thanks by the school head girl, Janet George. Indeed, it was an educative innovation towards a holistic development of all the participants.
