Bhavan’s SIS Grande Finale in Public Speaking Competition

Bhavan’s Smart Indian School conducted grand finale of Public Speaking Competition for grades 5 and 6 on 13th January and 22nd January, 2019 respectively in the school auditorium. This venture that began in the month of December ended with a handful of contestants. Those who proved themselves well during the competition were chosen for the Grande Finale. The competitive spirit, hard work and dedication towards the preparation of the topics were evident on stage. Both the grades were given specific topics to speak on and the contestants made speeches guided by those given topics with appropriate illustrations, quotes from famous authors and in connection to their real life experiences as well. The platform to tune their speaking skill coupled with the prowess to conquer stage fright were brought out well by the students. The opportunity to express their thoughts with firm conviction had certainly broadened the horizon for the betterment of forthcoming challenges. The speeches were assessed under the rubrics Expression, Content, Body Language and Spontaneity. The judges were immensely impressed with the spontaneity of the performers to carry out topics in a delicate manner. The students were felicitated for their cheerful and active participation and one winner was chosen from all the grades of 5 and 6 respectively to be named as the ‘Best Speaker’ of the current academic year. The school appreciated the chosen ones to reach great heights in all their endeavors.
