Smart Indian school celebrated Kuwait National and Liberation Day on 20th February,2024 with a series of engaging activities and events that highlighted the rich cultural heritage and achievements of Kuwait. The day commenced with Kuwait National Anthem, to pay homage to the second motherland followed by the recitation of Holy Quran by Master Abdur of Grade 8. Ms. Natasha and Ms. Roshini delivered the welcome address both in Arabic and English. Sponsor, Mr. Ali Judiyan Al Begeli, Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, Director Bhavans Kuwait, Mr. Madhav Rajesh Ramachandran, Indian Educational School Principal, Mr. Anand Victor, Principal of Smart Indian School, Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Administrative Manager, Ms. Amira Bendary, Vice-Principals and K.G Supervisor were the dignitaries of the function.
Dressed in traditional Kuwaiti attire, students delivered speeches, recited poetry and performed traditional dances that showcased the sparkling culture of Kuwait. The hall was adorned with Kuwaiti flags and decorations, creating a festive and patriotic atmosphere. Dramatic plays were enacted demonstrating the sequences of gulf war and Kuwait’s liberation from Iraqi invasion. Glimpses of Kuwait’s culture, custom and tradition were shown through a fantabulous fashion show. The celebration instilled a sense of patriotism and unity among students while honoring the country’s journey to independence and liberation.
The school also hosted a vibrant and meaningful birthday celebration for the sponsor. A magnificent birthday cake, embellished with intricate designs and the sponsor’s name, took center stage. All the esteemed guests gathered to celebrate the exceptional event. He was well wished through songs and videos. The sponsor was presented with a token of love by the Chairman. The occasion marking the sponsor’s birthday provided poignant opportunity to convey appreciation for his invaluable contributions and support. Ms. Amira Bendary and Ms. Albin Daisy highlighted the significant impact of the sponsor’s generosity on the school community, emphasizing how it has enhanced educational opportunities and enriched the learning experience for students. Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon shared his experiences that exemplified the sponsor’s positive influences. The Sponsor was indeed overwhelmed and he expressed his joy and gratitude. In closing, Principal of IES, Mr. Anand Victor and Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Principal of Smart Indian School also extended birthday wishes to the sponsor, accompanied by a round of applause from the audience, symbolizing the collective appreciation and admiration for his exemplary leadership and benevolence.
Ms.Faiza gave the Vote of Thanks and the program concluded with the Indian National Anthem.
