The Investiture Ceremony of Smart Indian School for the academic session 2023 – ‘24 was held with great pomp and dignity in the school auditorium on 18th May 2023 to encourage and kindle leadership qualities in our young leaders. The ceremony started with the guard of honour to Chairman Mr. N. K. Ramchandran Menon, Dr Salah Ali Judiyan Al Bhagely, Mr.T.Prem Kumar, Principal Indian Education School, Principal Smart Indian School, Mr Mahesh Iyer, and other distinguished dignitaries by BSS cadets and further proceeded with Kuwait National Anthem and recital of verses from the Holy Quran. The melodious prayer song and Bhavans Anthem rendered by the school choir heightened the solemn spirit of the occasion. A short video of the glimpses of the investiture ceremonies of yesteryears took the audience a trip down the memory lane.
The newly elected leaders of the school council came in a ceremonial march, down the aisle with great confidence and excitement. Instilling in them the duties and responsibilities of a leader the guests along with the Principal adorned the sashes and pinned the badges.
The newly formed Council – Head Boy Master Kevin Manoj and Head Girl Ms. Janet George along with Sports Captain, House Captains, Vice House Captains and Prefects were honoured by the dignitaries. They congratulated the members of Student Council and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. The Chairman addressed the students with a message on leadership. The Oath Taking Ceremony was solemnly administered by the Principal. After the elected members took oath the acceptance speech was delivered by the Head Boy and the Head Girl. The zeal of the council was reflected in their confidence and dedication to execute their work.
It’s rightly said that ‘leaders are not born, they are made’. The Proficiency holders, NMO and NSO certificate holders, the academic award scholar badge and scholar blazer winners of the year 2022-2023 were also appreciated with medals and certificates. The grand event came to an end with the Indian National Anthem followed by a photo session.
