Physics Laboratory
The Physics lab at Bhavans Smart Indian School is a hub of scientific exploration and discovery, where theory meets practical application. Designed with state-of-the-art equipment, the lab allows students to delve into the fundamental principles of physics through hands-on experiments. The lab has various instruments that facilitate a comprehensive understanding of different physical phenomena, from classical mechanics to electromagnetism and optics to modern physics.
This lab can accommodate more than 25 students at a time and provides them with the tools to perform experiments related to Heat, Electricity, Mechanics, Magnetism, and more. These practical experiences enhance students’ scientific knowledge and foster an environment of critical thinking.
Biology Laboratory
Bhavans Smart Indian School proudly offers a fully equipped Biology laboratory featuring modern amenities and advanced facilities. The lab provides a wide array of scientific models, specimens, slides, charts, instruments, and apparatus, meeting the needs of students from primary to senior secondary levels. Here, students gain a deep understanding of biological concepts through hands-on experiments. More than just a learning space, the lab also serves as a valuable resource for senior secondary students, providing a platform for budding scientists to conduct their projects and empowering them to explore and innovate in the field of biology.
Chemistory Laboratory
The science faculty at SIS is privileged to have a well-organized lab facility that ignites students’ curiosity and encourages their exploration of diverse scientific phenomena. Our chemistry lab, with its spacious layout accommodating nearly 30 students at once, provides ample working space for each student. Equipped with a fume cupboard and all necessary apparatus, the lab meets the requirements for conducting the CBSE-prescribed project work for senior classes, fostering an environment of excitement and intrigue.
In this environment, our budding scientists can observe and conduct various experiments under the expert guidance of their teachers. The Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system has further encouraged students to explore the world around them scientifically, with the chemistry lab playing a crucial role in this process. The labs, including the chemistry lab, support the Science Club by enabling students to engage in fascinating and motivating activities. These activities, conducted in the labs, catalyse fostering a deep and lasting interest in science among students from primary through senior secondary classes.
Computer Lab
Our school has two modern computer labs, each featuring 30 Pentium(R) Dual Core computers, all managed by our dedicated staff. The labs are strategically located in two blocks—one serving the primary and middle sections and the other dedicated to senior students. Both labs are connected by a reliable network that facilitates the sharing of resources.
Computer education is integrated into our curriculum starting from Class I, with a highly practical syllabus tailored to the student’s age and needs.
We cover essential programs such as MS Paint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Logo, BASIC, Visual Basic, and HTML to ensure our students develop strong skills in the rapidly evolving field of Information Technology.
Our experienced and well-trained teachers guide and train students across all age groups. For senior secondary students, we offer specialised courses in Informatics and Computer Science, as the CBSE prescribes, to prepare them for future success in tech.
Math Lab
The Math Lab, designed according to NCERT guidelines, focuses on discovering, enriching, and verifying mathematical concepts through hands-on activities with concrete objects and models. Langauage Lab
Our school’s Language Lab is a cutting-edge facility to improve students’ communication skills and language proficiency. Equipped with modern audio-visual tools, the lab offers an immersive learning environment where students can practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English. The lab’s interactive sessions, guided by skilled instructors, focus on improving pronunciation, vocabulary, and fluency. Tailored activities and exercises cater to different learning levels, fostering confidence in language use. This resource is crucial in preparing students for academic success and global communication.
Swimming Pool
Smart Indian School boasts two well-maintained, fully air-conditioned indoor swimming pools designed to cater to swimmers of all levels. The lap pool spans 12 meters in length and 5 meters in width, with a depth ranging from 1 meter at the shallow end to 2 meters at the deep end, making it ideal for various skill levels. The second pool, a dedicated baby pool, measures 11 meters in length and 6.1 meters in width and has a consistent depth of 1.5 meters.
We uphold the highest standards of hygiene, meticulously cleaning and regularly certifying the water and pool area. The pools are heated in winter to ensure that swimming classes remain comfortable year-round.
Conveniently located adjacent to the pools are cubicles equipped for changing and showering after each session. To ensure the safety and guidance of all students, two highly qualified instructors—one for boys and one for girls—are always present, along with a full-time assistant, during school hours.

The SIS Primary and Senior Wing Library has a diverse collection of over 10,000 books. This extensive collection includes fiction, nonfiction, biographies, encyclopedias, storybooks, picture books, dictionaries, yearbooks, maps, reference books across various academic subjects, and teacher resources. Additionally, educational DVDs and pen drives give students access to vast knowledge. The library also subscribes to many international magazines and national and international newspapers.
With an Internet browsing facility, students can explore various online educational resources and gather additional information. The library operates on an open access system, with books classified and arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (Ed.22). Each book is bar-coded, and spine labels are attached for easy identification. New books are prominently displayed, and users are kept informed through regular updates.
The library’s stock and services have been automated with Integrated Library Management software, and an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) allows patrons to search for books by keywords, author, title, or subject. The Reading Room, with a seating capacity of 60, is furnished for comfort and convenience. The library is dedicated to providing exceptional services that satisfy the needs of all its users.

Learning Management System – Gurukul
Bhavans in Kuwait is a leader in Child-Centered Education. At Bhavans, we believe that a child’s innate potential is best nurtured through a multi-dimensional teaching and learning approach—one of the significant initiatives undertaken by our Chairman, Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon was the implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver effective and enriching learning experiences to students across Bhavan schools in the Middle East.
The Learning Management System is a powerful web-based tool that creates a dynamic virtual learning environment. It enables educators to manage courses, share information, and engage with students seamlessly. One of the standout features of the LMS is its ability to deliver courses online or through a blended approach. Our entirely digitised campus, equipped with HD projectors and 24/7 Wi-Fi connectivity, ensures teachers can deliver content effectively, fostering active student participation.
This advanced platform allows teachers to evaluate and grade students’ performance online. Parents can access comprehensive performance reports, allowing them to monitor their child’s progress from anywhere, even in their workplace. The LMS also includes a Communication Portal, facilitating easy interaction between parents, students, and teachers and keeping parents informed and engaged in their child’s education.
The LMS offers audiovisual materials for different subjects, including Science, English, Math, and Social Science. Carefully curated by teachers trained by Indian IT professionals, these resources—including videos, documentaries, fact sheets, and more—provide students with a well-rounded and immersive learning experience.
