Eid, a day of merriment, festivity and feasting, is a festival of love and true goodwill. The festival gives us the message to love all and hate none. Its teachings and significance are very meaningful. It solidifies and strengthens social harmony, humanity and values in society extending and exchanging mutual co-operation, simplicity, sympathy and brotherhood among the people.
On 19th April, 2023, the students of Smart Indian School (CBSE & Cambridge wing) celebrated the occasion with happiness, joy, and pleasure. Principal Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Administrative Manager Ms. Amira Bendary and the Vice-Principals were the dignitaries of the function.
The celebrations began with the Kuwait National Anthem, to pay homage to the second motherland followed by the Recitation of Holy Quran invoking the blessings of Allah.
After the holy session, the students mesmerized the crowd with their spectacular performances. The atmosphere was further enriched with the dazzling dance performances of the students.
The blooming buds in their traditional costume performed a variety of devotional and festival songs, which conveyed the message of patience, modesty, self-restrain, love and spirituality.
Subsequently, a quiz competition was conducted to create awareness on Eid among the students.
After the special events, prizes were distributed to the winners of the Quran recitation competition by the Principal Mr. Mahesh Iyer.
The Principal also addressed the students and spoke to them about the customs and practices of Eid. He extolled the ethical virtues and motivated the young ones to uphold the values of this blessed month.
The program concluded with the Indian National Anthem.
