Threading can be a challenging activity that takes a while for children to master and is very much dependent on their maturity and fine motor development.
On 30th November 2023, the children of the kindergarten wings of Bhavans Smart Indian School and Bhavans Jack and Jill Pre School strengthened their fine motor skills by stringing macaroni.
Threading is a great activity to help children develop fine motor skills essential for being able to draw, write, do up buttons, tie shoelaces, open lunch boxes and more.
Threading also helps to develop eye-hand coordination and concentration skills. Children learn mathematical concepts such as counting and sequencing.
It was delightful to watch the little hands at work, threading the macaroni with speed and perfection.
