Republic Day of India is celebrated on January 26th to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution in India. The day signifies India’s struggle for independence and the establishment of a self-governing nation. It showcases democratic values, cultural richness, and unity in diversity. Bhavans Smart Indian School celebrated India’s 75th Republic Day with patriotic fervor on January 26th, 2024, in the school campus.

The celebrations began at 8:30 a.m. The Principal Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Sr. Vice Principal Ms. Anselma Tessy and Vice Principal Ms. Albin Daisy and Academic Coordinators Mr. Santhosh Chungath and Ms. Thushara Sanjeev were escorted by the BSS cadets to the stage. Principal Mr. Mahesh Iyer unfurled the tricolour national flag and presented the Republic Day message of the Honourable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu. Ms. Joan Sarah a student of grade 6 performed Kumite (Martial Art) and her performance was appreciated by everyone. The theme of the Republic Day this year is ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Bharat: Loktantra ki Matruka’. The celebration ended with the closing thought of making our nation vibrant and strong.

Bhavans Smart Indian School and Jack and Jill Pre School were vibrant hubs of patriotic fervor as children joyously celebrated Republic Day. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and unity as the young learners, brimming with enthusiasm, actively participated in various activities that not only showcased their creative expressions but also highlighted the significance of Republic Day.

The highlight of the event was the engaging dot painting for Pre-KG, palm painting for KG1, and painting activities for KG2, providing our little ones with diverse outlets for expressing their creativity. At both schools, the young learners, fully immersed in the joy of artistic creation, enthusiastically participated in delightful dot painting. They crafted mesmerizing patterns that beautifully reflected the essence of unity. Simultaneously, KG1 and KG2 students displayed their artistic talents through vibrant palm painting and intricate paintings, respectively.

The celebration not only centered on creative expression but also aimed to instill a profound understanding of Republic Day’s significance among the children. Teachers played a pivotal role, guiding the students through the essence of Republic Day, fostering a sense of pride and respect for the nation. The collective festivities, embodying the spirit of unity in diversity, left an enduring impact on the hearts of our budding patriots, fostering a sense of pride and camaraderie among the young minds.
