As part of the World Science Day celebration, Smart Indian School, Kuwait celebrated the World Science Day-2021 on 10 November 2021, Wednesday at 12.30 p.m., Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Principal, Smart Indian School and the department of science led the session for the students of 8-11 on the topic I & Science.

Ms. Saritha Umesh, HoD, Science Department, Bhavans Smart Indian School and Ms. Shafna, faculty of Science, Ms. Rekha Raveendran, faculty of science, coordinated the day’s celebrations. This seminar had highlighted the importance of “Building Climate-Ready Communities”.

Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Principal, Smart Indian School led the session effectively with an objective to bring science closer to society by highlighting some key scientific aspects and possible solutions provided by science, technology, and innovation to some of the major global challenges society is facing today.

The student community carefully participated in the discussion and Q&A session, which was very much in tune with the integrity of the 20th Science Day celebrations, which were held with the overall goal of ‘Peace and Progress’.

He reminded the student community of the need to prepare a human society to adapt to climate change, and of the misconception that environmental protection is someone else’s mission.

During the long question and answer session, Mr. Mahesh Iyer answered the questions and cleared all the doubts of the students and teachers and encouraged all the participants to be an agent of change as the climate change has become a serious threat to the lives of billions of people and the planet.
