The right moment of the time was remembered and honoured to cherish the ‘child’ in each one of us and it turned to be a memorable day for the students of Bhavans Smart Indian School when they celebrated this jubilant day in unison on 20th November 2018. The occasion was graced by the Principal – Mr Mahesh Iyer, Vice-Principal – Ms Albin Daisy and KG Supervisor – Ms Rajini Menon. As marked by the United Nations to commemorate this as the exclusive day for the children’s welfare and togetherness, the school rightly incorporated the year’s motto by going blue. The significance of children’s rights, implementing the written law of freedom into actions and global togetherness was imparted to all the students. Keeping this in mind, the staff community showcased varied performances. The students were transported to a world of fun and laughter by seeing their own teachers dressed up as students performing on the stage. The unique and inevitable feel to cling to childhood was seen during the time of dance led by three different teams under able and entertaining dancer teachers. A special skit was played by the Dept. of Arabic highlighting the naïve and mischievous traits displayed by the students in the classroom scenario. The students were drenched in the utmost laughter. Yet another highlight of the day was the launch of the 4th edition of the online magazine, SPARSH by the Principal. The students were overjoyed to have it heard released on their special day. The lively and fun-filled day provided memorable moments to applaud the winners of the Inter-school competition and the swimming team. The Principal, Mr Mahesh Iyer congratulated the winners and emphasized the message of togetherness and the need to spread love in their beautiful garden of childhood.
