Bhavans Smart Indian School arranged and conducted the Second Counselors’ Meet of all Indian, Bilingual and American schools of Kuwait, in the auditorium on  Sunday, 17  November 2019. The session was organized to focus mainly on the success which is inherent in each student and the methods to surface it to the society.

The school had commenced this forum last year and it was indeed a proud time to continue this year as well. Gathering the counselors from many schools in Kuwait, transpiring the productive results and pledging to materialize the discussions on the dear students in need were the criteria that culminated under the palatial roof.

The thoughtful day was graced by Ms. Hana Alenezi- Inspector of Social Workers and Counselors, Mr.Nabil Goma – Inspector, Social Affairs, Mrs. Amal Ali Al Hajni, Head of Social work and Psychology from the ministry of private education, Mrs. Asha Sharma, Principal, Learners Own Academy, Mr.Arul Dharmaraj, Principal, Integrated Indian School, Mr.Ajith, Principal, United Indian School, Mr.Mahesh Iyer,  Principal, Smart Indian School, Ms.Albin Daisy, Vice Principal, Smart Indian School and Ms. Rajni Menon, KG Supervisor, Smart Indian School, Ms.Shaima Zaki, Administrative Manager, Smart Indian School.

The vibrant counselors from several schools such as Indian Educational School, Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School (DPS), Learners Own Academy, Salmiya Indian Model School, Indian Community School and  India International participated in the meet that specialized on the power point presentations given to promote the success of students. The program started with the conventional method of honoring the country followed by the recital of the verses from the Holy Quran and lighting of the lamp. The invocation dance facilitated a good start for the program along with the welcome speech done by the school counselor Ms. Preethi. Mrs. Hana Alenezi wonderfully brought out the objectives of the meet and her experiences of the yester year through her motivational speech.  Subsequently various topics were elaborately discussed by the assembled counselors of different schools.

The topic on ‘World of Counselors’ by Indian Educational School Counselor depicted a mandated side of assistance needed in this present digitalized world by the team of trainers trained to diagnose the minds of children. The counselor of Delhi Public School presented the priority that is emphasized on the sound mind which acts as a requisite to the feasibility of daily learning.The topics were also extended on how to manage parents who serve various roles like breadwinners, nurturers and managers of lots of emotions that their children undergo and this was well explained by the counselor of Learners Own Academy. The teacher of Salmiya Indian Model School presented the challenging side of tackling disruptive behavior seen in children and at the same time making them to shine bright in their academics. The fifth presenter from Indian Central School talked on the emotional intelligence. Points on the technology that affects the students on both ways were discussed by the counselor of Integrated Indian School. The counselors of last two schools brought forth the crucial topics on how to overcome the troublesome behavior and the methods to infuse positive emotions in the growing minds.

The session turned memorable in the form of group photograph taken on the day. The fruitful side of the session was summed up by the Principals who gave strategies to enhance the internalization of the points discussed. The vote of thanks was given by the school counselor– Ms. Lia. Hence the meet had righty found to fulfill the acuity of the time.
