Today’s youth is a growing and influential population with the power to embrace and change societal perceptions of organ donation and transplantation. Keeping with the best traditions of their Alma Mater, in association with ‘Green Cross Kuwait’ to popularize and strengthen the public movement for blood and organ donation a session was held at Smart Indian School on 17th May 2023.

The resource person, Fr. Davis Chiramel, famous as the Kidney Priest was welcomed by Senior Academic Coordinator, Mr. Santhosh Chungath. The initiative included discussion on subjects like who can be a donor? How does someone get on the waiting list? Which all organs can be donated? and the role of the organ transplant coordinator.

It has been our regular endeavour to ensure that students are sensitized to the social realities around them and they grow up to be caring individuals who spare a thought for those who are less fortunate. The session was adjourned by honouring the speaker with a memento and with a speech by the Principal, Mr. Mahesh Iyer.
