Department of Science at Bhavans Smart Indian School organized Earth Day on 21st April 2022.
On the occasion of the Earth Day, activities pertaining to the theme for Earth Day 2022 ‘Invest in Nature’ were organized with a view to sensitize the children about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful.
Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Principal, Smart Indian School addressed the gathering. He reminded everyone that Greenery; not only heals the mind and body but also the whole of humanity is comforted.
The activity included handing over of pothos to the class principals and monitors from grades 1- 12, where the children will nurture and water the plants in their classrooms. The greenery in each classroom will definitely encourage the children to develop their interest towards nature and plants and reduce stress and increase their attention level.
Vice Principal Ms. Albin Daisy, KG Supervisor Ms. Rajni Menon, Senior Academic Coordinator Ms. Saritha, Primary Academic Coordinator Ms. Thushara were among the other invited guests. The event in charge Ms. Jitha Chandran coordinated the day’s event.
