Bhavan’s SIS organized ‘Family Day’

Family is where life begins and love never ends. Although families, all over the world, have transformed greatly over the past decades in terms of their structure and as a result of global trends and demographic changes, the United Nations still recognizes the family as the basic unit of society. The International Day of Families provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting them. It has inspired a series of awareness-raising events, including national family days. In many countries, this day is an opportunity to highlight different areas of interest and importance.

The International Day of Families is observed on the 15th of May every year. The Kindergarten wing of Bhavan’s Smart Indian School also observed the International Family Day with gaiety and delight. The kids were told the importance of having a family and how Almighty has blessed them with a beautiful family they could get. The children came up to talk about the members of their family and also about the person whom they love the most. At the end of the day, they were allowed to make a card in the shape of a house and colour the members of their family in it. Children were excited to draw their Mom and Dad with siblings, and thus the importance of having a family was drilled into the kids.
