“Let fitness be your first priority – to survive and to succeed.”

Bhavans Smart Indian School conducted an awareness program ‘Fitness Week’ prioritizing health care while imparting quality education to help in the holistic development of SIS students. Physical Education Department of Smart Indian School organized a series of fitness activities: Day 1 cardio challenge for grades 9&10, Day 2 online sports quiz on current affairs, Day 3 E-poster making competition on ‘Fitness beat pandemic’ for grades 5-9, Day 4 mass drill for all students and teachers during chat session, Day 5 simple yoga for grades 7&8, Day 6 breathing exercise for grade 5&6, Day 7 eye exercise for grades 1-4.

These fitness activities started on 8th April 2021 and ended on 14th April 2021. These activities were conducted to create awareness that students’ daily physical activities are important for a healthy mind and body and must be continued to maintain physical fitness though COVID-19 pandemic forced an unprecedented global shutdown.

Winners of E-poster making competition on ‘Fitness Beat Pandemic’ were honoured with certificates. The winners under the Category V-IX were Bhavya Basanth of g6 Aries [first place], Sharin Ruksha of g5 Aries [second place] Sai Aradhana of g6 Aries [third place] Sowmiya Kasi of g7 Aries [third place], Consolation winners are Nifansa of g9 Aries, Harsha Kulkarni of g8 Taurus, Sri Rengasri of g8 Aries and all other participants were given participation certificates.

The principal Mr. Mahesh Iyer appreciated all the students for their remarkable work, creativity, and imagination throughout the entire week of fitness activities.
