Smart Indian School celebrated its 6th Annual Day on 10th December 2022 with great zeal and enthusiasm. A school’s Annual Day is the culmination of its academic year. It is that time of the year when we celebrate and recognize the school’s as well as the students’ achievements. It gives the students an opportunity to showcase their unique talents and achievements. This Annual Day was more unique as it was based on the Sustainable Development Goals, an innovative initiative which is the demand for the future generations to sustain in a better environment.

All the students and their parents were invited to this function. The ceremony started at 4:00 p.m. in the school auditorium with the Kuwait National Anthem, Recital of verses from the Holy Quran, Prayer Song and the Bhavans Anthem followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The evening formally began with a medley by the senior choir followed by the invocation dance and a grand celebration song by the school’s junior choir trained by Mr. Ebuka and Mr. Ratnesh – our music teachers.

Srishti 2022 officially began by presenting the school annual report with a great visual display of all the previous events from April- December 2022, along with the upcoming events. The news was anchored by the charismatic students of SIS. The Cambridge Wing of SIS proudly displayed their first ever program on this day called the ‘Cambridge Chronicles’. The mesmerizing talents of both the students and teachers were well displayed and was greatly enjoyed by everyone who witnessed it. ‘Mélange’, the school magazine, a collective effort of the teachers and students was also officially released.

Chairman, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon congratulated the proficiency holders, scholar badge and scholar blazer awardees of the previous academic year and the grade 10 school toppers who had brought laurels to the school with their excellent results. The teachers Ms. Bhavitha and Ms. Rekha Raveendran who worked hard behind the success of the grade 10 toppers with centum in science were also significantly honoured.

Mr. Nabil Gumaa (Head of Activities Department, Private Education, Kuwait) the Chief Guest for the day, took the opportunity to share his views with the school. The day was celebrated with the theme ‘Kathasarithsagar – an ocean of stories’ and the show left the spectators spell bound. The day ended with the vote of thanks and the Indian National Anthem. Overall, it was a fulfilled program that moved the heart of everyone present at the venue and online.
